Well I hope you all had a great Christmas! We had a great and a rubbish Christmas all rolled into one!
What was great was that Daniel and I had planned the best surprise for the girls - rabbits! We bought them on Wednesday and hid them in our bedroom! Yes! A massive cage in our bedroom with noisy rabbits in for four nights!! It was worth it though, the girls absolutely loved it and they had no idea whatsoever!
We had been planning it for weeks,
Sew Happy Days kindly designed a fantastic rabbit toy each and
Louise at
Craftyguider created two lovely cards for the girls with rabbits on! We gave the cards to the girls and inside was a message to open the boxes to reveal their special surprise!! They were so ecstatic when they opened them!! I would like to say thank you to all the people who had advice on keeping rabbits, especially
Clare who wrote down LOADS of stuff for me on twitter!!
The rubbish side to our Christmas is because my Nana had a suspected heart attack on Friday morning and was rushed into hospital. She is ok now thank goodness and has still not been properly diagnosed but she had us all worried for a couple of days! We had to rearrange our Christmas plans so we could all see her at the hospital and look after Grandpa too who is a bit doddery now. Nana is still in hospital and I am going to see her again tomorrow, hopefully she can come home soon.
Take a look at the newest members of our family - Fluffy and Nibbles!

Wow the toy rabbits are fab as our the real ones - another word of caution - if you are going to let them run around inside secure ALL cables away (our Giant bunny ate through laptop charger, PS3 controller charge cable, Wii controller cable, speaker cables, battery charger cable, printer cable and the worse of the lot Mac cable while it was turned on thankfully not all the way through but she did shoot across the room, also books, important paper work and well anything that you dont want bunny nibbled
ReplyDeleteAwww, what a fab post, and thank you so much for your kind comments about my Sew Happy rabbits. I had so much fun working out a rabbit pattern for those, and it's lovely to see them here and your wonderful real bunnies as well. Wise words about the wires when they are inside... and brave of you to hide them in a bedroom for four days. They can be surprisingly noisy! Rabbits are hilarious pets. You'll all have lots of fun with them. So glad to have been a part of it. xx
ReplyDeleteI meant to add, so sorry to read about your Nana - what a worry that is. I do hope she's home soon. x
